What is SEO?
Search engine optimisation is the discipline of earning unpaid visibility in search results. When someone types "industrial valve supplier" or "orthodontist near me", Google chooses which pages to show based on relevance, quality and usefulness. SEO is the work of making sure your pages deserve to be among them and are technically easy to find.
It has four broad parts, and a campaign that neglects any one of them tends to stall:
- Relevance: pages that clearly answer the query, using the language searchers use.
- Technical access: a site that Google can crawl, render and index without friction. Our technical SEO service handles this in depth.
- Authority: signals from other reputable sites, reviews and brand mentions that suggest you are trustworthy.
- Experience: fast, readable pages that satisfy the visitor, so they do not bounce straight back to the results.
Who needs SEO services?
SEO suits businesses whose customers research before buying and where a single customer is worth enough to justify several months of groundwork. Typical examples include:
- B2B manufacturers and exporters whose buyers search for specific components, grades or certifications.
- Clinics, diagnostic labs and hospitals where patients compare options before booking.
- Ecommerce stores that depend on category and product pages ranking for purchase-intent searches.
- Service firms such as CA practices, law firms and consultants whose prospects look for expertise.
If most of your customers come from a small radius and search with "near me", start with local SEO instead, which focuses on the map pack and Google Business Profile.
How our SEO process works
1. Research the demand
We group keywords by intent rather than by volume alone. A search like "what is PCD pharma" is informational, while "PCD pharma franchise for derma products" signals someone ready to talk. Each group is mapped to one page, which prevents your own pages competing with each other.
2. Fix the foundations
Crawl errors, duplicate pages, slow templates, missing canonical tags and weak internal linking are fixed early, because content improvements are wasted on pages Google struggles to process.
3. Improve and create pages
Existing pages that already get impressions are usually the fastest wins. We rewrite titles, restructure headings, add missing answers and strengthen internal links. New pages are created only where there is a clear gap.
4. Build authority carefully
We pursue links and mentions that a real business would earn: supplier and association listings, local press, genuine partnerships and useful resources other sites want to cite. We do not buy link packages or use private blog networks, which violate Google's spam policies.
5. Measure and iterate
Google Search Console and GA4 show which queries bring impressions, which pages earn clicks and which visits turn into enquiries. Priorities are adjusted every month from that data.
What do SEO services cost?
SEO pricing depends on the size of the gap between where you are and where you want to be. The main drivers are:
- Site size and condition: a 20-page brochure site and a 5,000-product store need very different effort.
- Competition: a niche industrial term is easier to win than a crowded consumer category.
- Content requirements: how many new or rewritten pages each month.
- Development access: whether we can implement fixes directly or must hand specifications to another developer.
| Engagement model | Best for |
|---|---|
| One-time SEO audit with a prioritised action list | Teams with in-house developers and writers |
| Monthly SEO retainer | Businesses that want research, implementation and reporting handled end to end |
| Project-based migration or relaunch support | Sites being redesigned or moved to a new platform |
How long does SEO take?
Technical fixes and improvements to pages that already rank on page two can show movement within a few weeks of Google recrawling them. Competitive terms and brand-new pages usually take several months. Authority grows slowest of all. Anyone quoting a fixed date for a ranking is guessing, because Google's systems and your competitors keep changing.
What to expect in the first 90 days
- Month one: full audit, keyword-to-page map, Search Console and GA4 verified, and the most damaging technical issues fixed.
- Month two: priority service or category pages rewritten, internal links rebuilt, title tags and meta descriptions improved for click-through.
- Month three: first new pages published, authority outreach started, and a report comparing impressions, clicks and enquiries with the baseline.
Expect early signs in impressions and average position before you see a large rise in leads. That order is normal.
What a useful SEO report should show you
Many business owners receive a monthly PDF full of rankings and never learn whether SEO is paying for itself. A report worth reading answers four plain questions:
- Are more people seeing us? Impressions from Search Console, split by branded and non-branded queries, so growth is not just people who already knew your name.
- Are they clicking? Click-through rate on priority pages, which shows whether titles and descriptions are persuasive.
- Are visits turning into enquiries? Form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks from organic sessions, recorded as conversions in GA4.
- What did we do, and what is next? A short list of completed work and the next month's priorities, with reasons.
Illustrative example: an industrial supplier might see organic enquiries stay flat for two months while impressions rise, then climb once rewritten product pages start earning clicks. Seeing that sequence in one report builds the patience SEO needs, and it exposes problems early when impressions rise but enquiries do not.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Chasing one vanity keyword. Ranking for a broad head term often brings less business than ranking for dozens of specific, high-intent queries.
- Publishing thin pages for every city or variation. Near-duplicate location pages can drag down the whole site.
- Redesigning without a redirect plan. Many sites lose years of visibility in a relaunch. Read our guide to a website redesign without losing SEO before you start one.
- Buying cheap backlinks. They can trigger manual actions that take months to recover from.
- Reporting rankings without enquiries. Rankings are a means, not the goal. Tie every report back to calls, forms and sales.
