What is included in IT solutions?
"IT solutions" is a broad term. For the businesses we work with, it means four practical things:
- Custom software built around a process that off-the-shelf tools do not handle well.
- CRM development: systems to capture, assign, follow up and report on leads and customer relationships.
- ERP solutions: selecting, configuring, extending or building systems for inventory, purchase, production, dispatch and finance.
- API integration: connecting the tools you already use so data flows between them automatically.
We do not sell hardware, networking or IT support contracts. Our focus is business software and the data that runs through it.
Who needs IT solutions?
The signs are usually operational rather than technical:
- Leads from the website, Google Ads, Meta, IndiaMART and phone calls end up in different places and some are never followed up.
- Stock figures in the warehouse, the accounting software and the sales team's spreadsheet never agree.
- Staff spend hours each week copying orders from WhatsApp into one system and then into another.
- Management reports take days to compile manually and are out of date when they arrive.
- A key process lives in one experienced employee's head or personal Excel file.
We see this often in manufacturing units in Mohali's and Panchkula's industrial areas, in PCD pharma franchise businesses managing many distributors, and in multi-branch education and healthcare providers. See how this applies to manufacturing businesses.
Buy, configure or build?
The most important early decision is whether to buy an existing product, configure a platform, or build custom software. We are not biased towards building; a custom system you do not need is an expensive liability.
| Option | When it fits | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Off-the-shelf SaaS (CRM, accounting, HR) | Your process is fairly standard and the product covers most needs | Per-user fees as you grow, data export limits, fitting your process to the tool |
| Configurable platform (for example open-source ERP or CRM) | You need broad functionality with moderate customisation | Implementation effort, upgrade compatibility of customisations |
| Custom build | Your process is a competitive advantage or genuinely unusual | Higher upfront effort, need for ongoing maintenance |
| Integration layer | Your tools are fine individually but do not talk to each other | API limits, error handling, monitoring |
How it works
Process mapping
We sit with the people who do the work, not only with management, and map how information flows today: where it is created, who touches it, where it is copied, and where it goes wrong. Illustrative example: a distributor might discover that a single order is typed four times, into WhatsApp, a sales register, the billing software and a dispatch sheet.
Solution design
We propose the simplest arrangement that solves the real problem: sometimes a CRM configured properly, sometimes an ERP module plus two integrations, sometimes a custom application. The proposal includes data ownership, user roles, reporting needs and a phased roadmap.
Build or implement
Custom systems are typically built on Laravel with role-based access, audit logs and a clean API. For CRM development this might include lead capture from web forms and ad platforms, auto-assignment rules, follow-up reminders, WhatsApp or SMS templates and pipeline reports. For ERP work it could mean configuring modules, migrating masters such as items, customers and vendors, and building custom reports or approval workflows.
Integrate
API integrations use webhooks where possible and scheduled syncs where not, with retry logic, error alerts and logs so failures are noticed rather than silently losing data. Common connections include payment gateways, accounting software, courier platforms, lead sources, email and messaging services.
Train and adopt
Software fails when people route around it. We train each role on the tasks they actually do, provide short guides, and run a parallel period where old and new processes overlap until everyone is confident.
What does custom software, CRM or ERP work cost?
Drivers include:
- Number of processes and departments covered.
- Buy versus build: licence fees versus development effort.
- Data migration volume and quality; messy historical data takes time to clean.
- Integrations, especially with older or poorly documented systems.
- Users and locations, affecting licences, permissions and training.
- Support and change requests after go-live.
We usually begin with a paid discovery and process audit, then deliver implementation as a fixed-scope phase or sprint-based engagement, followed by an annual support and enhancement plan.
How long does it take?
A focused integration or a CRM configured for one sales team can go live in weeks. A multi-department ERP rollout or a substantial custom system takes months and should be phased by department or process. Go-live dates are often driven by business calendars, such as avoiding the financial year-end close for accounting changes.
What to expect in the first 90 days
- Month one: process mapping workshops, pain point list, buy/configure/build recommendation and phase one scope.
- Month two: build or configuration of phase one, data clean-up and migration trial, user acceptance testing with key staff.
- Month three: training, parallel run, go-live for the first team or process, and a review of adoption and issues.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Automating a broken process. Fix unnecessary steps first; software makes a bad process faster, not better.
- Choosing software from a demo alone. Test with your own data and your hardest real scenarios.
- Migrating dirty data. Duplicate customers and inconsistent item codes carried into a new system undermine trust in it immediately.
- Integrations without monitoring. A sync that silently fails for a week can be worse than no sync.
- No internal owner. Every system needs a person responsible for its rules, users and data quality.
- Big-bang rollouts. Switching every department on the same day multiplies risk.
Many IT projects start from lead handling problems; if that sounds familiar, our lead generation and CRM work fit together. Custom builds draw on our Laravel development practice, and field apps on mobile app development.
